The Protected Nature Reserve
Legami Dreamland is a project launched in Bergamo which opened in May 2023, marking the occasion of our brand’s first 20 years.
The initiative was developed with the goal of creating a space dedicated to nature, where flora and fauna can flourish in the rhythm of natural dynamics, all with respect for the balance of the ecosystem.

Extraordinary Results
Significant signs of regeneration were detected as early as the very first year: an increase in biodiversity, a greater presence of pollinating insects and improvement in the soil (details in the 2024 Sustainability Report).
To date, 25 species of pollinating insects and 51 plant species have been identified in the area. These numbers are expected to increase significantly over the coming months, partly assisted by the recently completed construction of a 250 square metre wetland.

Highlights
Launch of kilometroverde®
2026 saw the launch of kilometroverde®: a 1 km line of forest consisting of 1,500 trees and shrubs, acting as a green barrier between the Dreamland area and the A4 motorway, protecting the development of local biodiversity in the context of major human activity.
The project sits opposite Bergamo’s “Kilometro Rosso”, an innovation hub which hosts research centres and companies, named for its distinctive long red façade along the motorway.

The next steps
In addition to kilometroverde®, the development plan involves a series of integrated actions: the creation of a school for tree-climbers with a natural classroom for educational purposes; the establishment of agroforestry systems that combine cereal crops with around 400 fruit trees of ancient varieties; and the planting of a wooded area containing around 500 trees.
In addition to these interventions is the sowing of crops for landscape enhancement; the creation of a new, naturalistic wetland of approximately one hectare; and the development of hedgerows, with the aim of strengthening local ecosystems and improving their ecological functionality.
